‘google.com.lb’ comes in 4 languages

google_libanThis post deserves a special thanks to Rami at +961.

As a follow up to last weeks news about Google exploring the MidEast market, Google launched their portal for Lebanon at google.com.lb. The site is in Arabic (default), French, Armenian and English.

While Yamli is much used in the Arab world for converting search terms from latin text to arabic as key terms, it is yet to see how Google sees to fill such service to the arabic speaking community, or for nothing else than to appropriately s arabic content.

That is great to see Google interested in Lebanon, and considered our diversified languages :) I was even shocked to read that Google was actually in Lebanon to explore the middle east’s market.
