Army to settle Nahr el-Bared in 48 Hours
Top Chrono… The Lebanese National Army has stated that it will end the siege of Nahr el-Bared in 48 hours after a 5-week intensive fight with the extremists Fatah al-Islam militia that has killed over 70 Lebanese soldiers.
Anyone know exactly what Fatah al-Islam wanted ?
Lets hope the army’s credibility and statement holds valid. All eyes are on the army for the next 48 hours.
In the mean time, Katyusha rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel on Sunday. Karyat Shmona, a village known to have been targeted by last years war with Lebanese Hezbollah resistance.
► Shockingly, Israel indirectly agreed with Hezbollah and accepted the fact that Palestinians launched the Katyushas and not by Hezbollah. This observer feels that Israel strongly opposes another war with Lebanons’ Hezbollah due to catastrophy Israel faced with the Winograd report and the bad experience of last summers war.
“This is an attempt to provoke Israel into a response,” the official said. “Israel will not succumb to this provocation but will monitor the situation carefully.”
Does anyone agree with this blogger that Israel needs to think twice before attacking Lebanon and truely felt a strong blow by the Lebanese Hezbollah last summer?
