To unite a people, you must find a common enemy

24May07

Today’s headline reads the following…

Eat or be Eaten.

Lebanese throughout the political spectrum have gathered to show support to the Lebanese national army. Before the watchful eyes of the west and the Arab world, a lot is being gambled on by the army’s official response to exterminate Fatah Al-Islam.

Support Our TroopsA lot can be said by the oppositions opinion of the skirmish amoung the army and Fatah al-Islam. Leaving those open-ended obstacles, I refrain from listing much of t

he sources of trouble that Fatah- al Islam is able to achieve. In other words, the immediate worst case scenario from a Lebanese perspective.

  • Open Humiliation/Ineffectivenesses to the National Lebanese Army.
  • Terrorism spread into Lebanese civil areas.
  • Failed attempt to divide Lebanese by sect. (Bombings in Beyrouth and Alley ponders suspicious motives).
  • Summer Chaos, shatter tourism, once more.
  • Refute Governmental legitimacy on the international scene about its’ securities’ effectiveness and potential.

An Obvious Syrian involvement?

With the UN Tribunal on the killings of FPM R. Hariri going to be passed by force of more Lebanese bloodshed. Regardless how much Syria denies involvement, the finger is pointing straight at the current Syrian government, even if the Syrian government doesn’t care if its in the spotlight.

This blogger is still eager to find a logical Syrian response. With Syrias history and involvement with Fatah al Islam.

I strongly urge my Francophone readers to follow-up at France 24 and it’s debate headline.

Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.
I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that,
how you presented it. Too cool!
