The Lebanese movie being shown this year at the Festival de Cannes titled Je Veux Voir by Joana HADJITHOMAS and Khalil JOREIGE will be up for the ‘Un Certain Regard’ award. The actors in the movie have astounded me, Catherine DENEUVE and Rabih MROUÉ (starting to be well known). I am not sure if there are other Lebanese films being presented this year at the festival, so I’ll leave the comments open, as I did last year, and very much willing to update. Best of luck to Joana and Khalil.

Competing for the Palme d’Or this year is Ari Folman’s anti-war movie about the Sabra and Shatila massacres of 1982. Titled the Waltz with Bashir The Jury’s verdict comes out May 25th.
